"Creating energy from rice"
Rice is one of the most important food staple of our times. In return, the rice milling industry generates a lot of rice husk during milling of paddy which comes from the fields. This rice husk in its natural loose form is unusable and inedible and is a great environment threat causing damage to the land and the surrounding area in which it is dumped.

During milling of paddy about 78 % of weight is received as rice, broken rice and bran. Rest 22 % of the weight of paddy is received as husk. It is estimated that about 70 million tonnes of husks is produced annually worldwide. In Vietnam alone, in the Mekong Delta, it produces over 4M tonnes annually.

At Demstro International, we have found a solution by transforming this abundant agricultural waste into compressed and transportable fuel power generation, fuel for industrial boilers, cooking fuel for the impoverished and fuel for residential heating. Other than biomass fuel, the rice husk ash (RHA) can also be recycled for other industrial uses, thus completing the use and life cycle of this product, without generating any waste or harming the environment.

Believing that biomass represents the alternative energy source of the future, Demstro acquired Hoang Huynh Corporation (HH) in 2009 and plans to fully develop HH by investing in additional production output, investing in research and development and also diversify in various other agricultural biomass in the region to become the largest biomass company in Asia.
